Scott Sayes is a supply chain and operations executive with 25+ years of experience within multiple retail sectors including Sporting Goods, Home Goods, Home Improvement, Consumer Electronics, Lawn and Garden, and Funeral/Cemetery. Experience includes procurement and inventory system design and integrations, ecommerce, retail buying, inventory and demand planning, marketing, and sales management for multiple product lines and categories. Proven performer with reputation for business turnarounds. Prior to joining Revurbia, Scott was the AVP of Supply Chain Management Merchandise Procurement at Service Corporation International (SCI). There he led and collaborated on the management of their Procure-to-Pay (P2P) program, SCI’s proprietary merchandise contract auto-ordering system, in addition to product development, inventory management, and costing programs. He also played a key role in the continued development of supplier relationships and vendor master programs, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to his time in the funeral industry, he spent 15 years in the traditional retail space where he held several types of positions. Starting out in the back stock rooms of Sears during college, Scott worked his way up to corporate Sears, transitioning to Senior Management at Amazon.com, and eventually landed as VP of Merchandising at Academy Sports and Outdoors.
